Hi,

Try using the phone in safe mode and check the performance of the battery.

If the battery lasts longer then perhaps a downloaded app is running in the background when the phone is in “normal mode” and depleting the battery. Maybe it is even going online, costing you data as well as power.

When the phone is in “normal mode” to check what apps are running in the background go to Settings > Application Manager > swipe to Running and scroll down to view the apps.

Be aware that most of the apps shown will be system apps and are necessary for the phone to run correctly. If you are unsure of any app Google the name of it to find out what it does and if it is necessary. DO NOT delete or stop any app as you may cause the phone to stop working properly. Find out what it does first.

Have you got Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS enabled?

If left enabled they are constantly looking for available networks and devices and the GPS is constantly acquiring GPS signals.

This all uses power unnecessarily. Only turn on the required feature when necessary.

If they are not enabled, how old is the battery in the phone? It may be slowly failing to hold its’ full charge. Even rechargeable batteries have a life span.
