Why is the left side of the screen is brighter?

Lately my phone just keeps doing this, randomly. Sometimes it takes only few seconds, but sometimes it’s so annoying, because it’s like flashing, and in real it looks like the left side is on full brightness while the right one remains on that level what I picked.

I also tried to took off battery and restart, etc but nothing seems to work.

This is a defective backlight. This could be caused by a damaged/defective screen or it could be a logic board issue if the screen was recently replaced/repaired.

If it is a screen issue, then the whole screen needs to be replaced. If it is a logic board issue, it can be repaired by a micro-solderer.

It never had any physical damage, and the screen was not replaced, still have the factory one.

Then the screen just "up and died" most likely. Phones take a lot of daily abuse, if if it isn't a big drop. The best way to know is to try a replacement screen. You can do this yourself or go to a shop/Apple.

Any suggestion what should I try? I can order a screen but I really don't know if I need a full one or just need to change a part of it? Or how can I make sure if it's screen problem or logic board one?

by

The only way to know for certain is to try a replacement screen. A local shop may be willing to try one, free of charge. If it is the source of the problem, then you can just pay them to replace it. The screen is a complete unit. Someone with experience refurbishing screens could change just the backlight but this is not a DIY fix.

If the replacement screen doesn't work, then it's most likely a logic board issue.

Just wanted to point this out, it can also be caused by liquid damage as well.
