Battery drains quickly after display unit replacement

Hi all,

after replacing the display unit of an iPhone 6, the battery drains very quickly. Just as an example, when the iPhone is used normally (no exceeding phone calls, no streaming, just checking mails from time to time), batterie goes down from 85% to 15% within 2 hours.

This was not the case with the cracked display.

Any thoughts and ideas here? Thank you very much.

Did the replacement screen come with a FCAM;/Sensor flex pre-installed? Some of these “complete” assemblies tend to have lower quality small parts and those are known to draw excessive current.

The first thing to try is to re-install the original screen and test for battery life. If it works normally, then either the replacement screen (LCD/Backlight) or the FCAM Flex is defective. If the original screen also has the same issue, then you may have damaged something during the repair.
