Are iMac 17" CoreDuo and Core2Duo Logic Boards interchangeable

Hello. Can I upgrade a 1.83 Core Duo 17" iMac (Early '06) by swapping the logic board for a Core2Duo board from a late '06 model?

You probably can without a problem but it's easier to just just change the processor. You can use a Core 2 Duo or do like I have and insert a 2.16 GHz processor.
