lock icon is stuck
my ipod screen is on but it wont play cause it is stuck on lock.

After replying to your first question it sounds like you may have to restore it using iTunes. Was there any trauma to the unit prior to all of your difficulties? Try the restore and if that doesn't work you may need to replace the hold switch audio jack ribbon assembly. They are really inexpensive and fairly easy to install yourself. Just follow the guide here:
