Replace jdm 030 charging port with jdm 011 charing port
Can I replace the charging port of jdm 030 with jds 011 one? they seem to have the exact same pin and the correct wiring from my observation

Harold Prajitno you need to check your controller board. If you have a JDM-030 controller IC then you can only use a JDS-030 charging board, They do not interchange.

May I have the details to why? In like electrical wiring kind. I know the part names aren't matching but they look to have the exact same placement for the resistors and two small chip on it is just placed differently to fit the board . I would like to know if one of the wires isn't like compatible or it have different chip on it which would cause it not to work
Harold Prajitnothe JDS-XXX has to match the JDM-XXX number. schematics are not available for those boards. Of course for the few $ these boards cost, you can always try it and find out for yourself. Buy one and see if it works and then let us know what the outcome is. Maybe we can create and interchangeability guide.

The connectors may be the same but the board layout and shape is not. I found the correct charge port for sale on Amazon, though.

I found the outer casing parts on eBay. The top casing was only available in “camouflage” though. It looks pretty cool to me!

I am aware of that it’s just I would like to put the whole assembly into a jds011 casing as I cannot find a jdm 030 casing as a sparepart as most of the casing looks quite similar as it seems, except for the charging port which is why I brought up the question in the first place

It's not possible to do that because the parts in a JDM-030 controller are not the same as the parts inside a JDS-011 controller. The casing for those controllers were specifically designed to only work with the model specific parts, not parts from another model DS4 controller.
