I accidentally spilled some tea over my MacBook Air, the computer itself works but the keyboard feels sticky when I press it down.

You should use q-tips in between keys, mine gets lots of dirt and grime in between them, wipe around keys one by one with a decent amount of pressure and you'll be surprised with your results.

Wait! You don’t want to use hand sanitizer because that will get stuck under the keys & will attract dirt/grime!

Instead, get a toothbrush and >90% Isopropyl Alcohol, dip the brush in the alcohol and scrub the keys gently to remove the dirt/grime. Wipe with a microfiber cloth when done.

Oh that makes sense, but how would I be able to clean the "underside" of the keys? I don't want to remove them because I heard that the "butterfly" mechanism is fragile and can easily be broken. Oh and where can I buy Isopropyl Alcohol from?

by

You can buy Isopropyl Alcohol at stores like Walmart or Walgreens. Just ask at the counter. The brush should help with that, try to gently slide the bristles under the keycaps when brushing. Also, these MacBookAir models are pre-butterfly so you do not need to worry about the butterfly mech.
