Why won't my screen turn on when I plug in my keyboard?

I got a 2015 retina macbook and the only thing wrong with it is that the computer was opened wrong and the cables tore. I replaced the cabels I thought looked damaged and now everything turns on except the display. So I started messing around with the cabels trying to find where the problem was and I found that when I unplug the cable going from the track pad to the keyboard the screen turns on and even the mouse works. When I plug the keyboard back in the screen turns off and the keyboard backlights come one but the keyboard does not type on the black screen. Wondering if the whole keyboard is garbage or just the cable? Or is it the logic board?

Answer this question I have this problem too

One thing is for sure there must be a supply clashing which is in direct contact to key board and display to that Mac.

First try to connect to your Mac to an external display when keyboard is connected and check if the external display is working and keyboard is working move a head if keyboard is not working issues in keyboard or supply to keyboard if both not working move to last step.

If external display is working there is an issue with the replaced cables or it can be to a cable connected while tore happens it looks fine from outsite but damaged in side.

last but not the least the problem would be with the logic board as per your description display and key board are working but when keyboard inserted the display turns off.
