Touch id on iPhone 6s won't work after transferring home button over?

Have a question, Had an iphone 6s where i replaced the screen and transferred over the original touch id, home button as I know you can't use a new one. I've done this many times, but this time the touch id won't work after put back together. It doesn't give any error at all. Just when you try to add new finger print, it acts like you don't have your finger on the home button... No errors. It just won't prompt you to scan your finger and can't get it to work. Any ideas?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

It’s either a bad home button or a bad home button cable by the sounds of it.

Thanks. I've replaced the screen twice in this phone, so maybe that's possible. So, there's no way to fix this cause this is still an only apple fix?? It's a backup phone, but I sure would like to get the touch id back. This sucks if apple it still the only one to fix this. Is it weird that there's no error?

@jason_b Well, the fact that your iPhone is giving you no errors is a red flag that either the home button or it's cable is damaged. I think you're going to have to make the sacrifice here and just buy a new home button assembly. If Touch ID still refuses to work after a new home button assembly then we have a bigger problem here, a board level issue.

Thank you for the reply!!! But, I thought you can't use a new home button with touch id, and only way to get it to work is to have apple do it to record the ss to the home button? Is this not the case anymore?? We can do it ourselves and get it to work??

@jason_b the reason why I said "you're going to have to make the sacrifice here" is exactly that reason there. Nobody other than Apple can "pair" a new home button to an existing device and have Touch ID work. You don't have much of a choice here.
