How can I detect dead pixels of my mobile camera from the jpg images?

Hello,

My question for all mobile devices and not for a specific mobile device.

I understand that all cameras have hot, dead and stuck pixels. This is also true for mobile cameras. I also believe that hot and stuck pixel positions change over time (and hence fix themselves), but dead pixel positions remain the same.

I am trying the best and easiest method to detect dead pixels from the jpg images it captures. I would be thinking of coding that using Python once I can establish the best method.

Any ideas, help or pointers?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

could you take a picture of a bright green background and see if there are any pixels of a different color that show up. Not sure how you would wright the code to scan for those off color pixels but thats what I would do.
