No Sound when I use You Tube

Hi there, suddenly my iPhone 3GS had two problems:

1.There is no sound at all , I have to use speaker or headphones when I receive a phone call also the same with YouTube.

2. The Home button is too slow & I have to push it strongly to use it.

And by the way this error had shown to me every three minuets

it would seem like you need a new dock connector as all the functions you are having trouble with are located on it. you can buy it here or you can search other online shops closer/ebay to you if you live outside the usa. it is only compatible with iphone 3gs not a 3g. remember to turn the phone off with slide to power off (hold power button until sign appears"slide to power off") or the lcd may blow. the guide to change the dock connector is on the right under the iphone 3gs photo.

Thank you Mr pollytintop

I just have one question when I replaced the dock connector the sound problem and home button will solve ?

by

should do unless you have been extremely unlucky and the sound module has gone..however as you have sound through the earpiece i'm 90% sure this part should fix your problem!

I bought a new dock and I replaced so All problems gone except home bottom and No sound when I make a call ( I have to use speaker)

earpiece speaker is on connector 3, you could try replacing just that flex if you think that it was damaged as a result of mr repairman's attempts at repair. or you could buy a midframe which has earpiece and flex already attached(the plastic frame that holds the digitiser and lcd) flex 3 is the easier and cheaper part

Definitely check that ribbon. Check the home button pins on the back of the screen too, and see if they are missing or bent out of shape. If possible, try and replace the components on the OEM screen rather than pick up an aftermarket screen. The ribbon is easy to change out. Click my profile for the how-to for the ribbon replacement.
