My left stick keeps moving up or down but only in games

When ever im playing any game on my xbox my left stick registers me moving it up or down when im not moving it, but this only happens when im playing games and nothing else, so i dont think the controller is broken since it acts normally when im using apps like YouTube and Netflix or when using any of the xbox menus.
