I see a white sploch. wtf!?

on the bottom right hand corner of my chromebook, i can see a tiny white sploch on the screen. AnY AnSweRs!?

sounds like either a broken LCD panel or some pixels that are no longer responding. Definitely will have to see what it looks like.

Sadly, the LCD is damaged, in your case it looks like you have compression damage. This is where something was stuck between the keyboard and screen when the lid was closed pressing hard on the display glass so the liquid crystal material was pushed aside within the sandwich. Here’s a diagram that should help explain what a normal screen looks like.
