iPhone says to connect to itunes

iphone 3GS says to connect to itunes but won't connect to itunes on computer. tryed different computers.

hold home button down and while still holding button attach USB cord. tried different cord?? or port??

Sorry, Unit gets regonized by itunes, goes trough restore and updates, then goes back to needs to be restored mode again when connected... when disconnected it says plug into itunes ....???

it sounds like it could be a battery problem.. not enough power to complete the restore, your pc only generates so much power through the USB port. you could try downloading tinyumbrella and then click exit recovery. there's also recboot if you're stuck in the bootloop.
