Item is temporarily unavailable when installing Mac OS El captain

I recently wiped my partition to give this laptop to my dad after I received a mid 2012 MacBook Pro, I had been able to wipe my partition and install a given OS such as Sierra and High Sierra without issue and for some reason while trying to install El Cap it just won’t work. I’ve tried to put the correct date in terminal, sign into iCloud with the given account, attempted to use internet recovery mode (not supported on 2009 models but it was worth a shot). Does anyone have a solution to this? Thank you!

What's the error you're getting when the installer fails?

Have you upgraded the hard drive to an SSHD or SSD?

I can't find any other solutions than the ones that you've tried.

Are you sure you're using the apple ID that was used when you first got the computer?

Also, I saw someone who mentioned that signing in with a different apple ID (not the one that you had originally) worked to fix the issue.

Take a look at the date of the installer. Go to date and time, uncheck the automatic Apple time update. Reset the date to a month after the installer date and try the installation again.

I ended up forgetting that I could create a bootable usb or external hard drive then boot up my device and hitting option then installing from there. How dumb of me! I ended up trying this on another machine and it ended up working as well, thank you for your help!
