My red Ryder BB gun won’t load at all.

My red Ryder won’t load. I just got this gun yesterday and now having this problem twice already. Returned my gun once and having to do it again. Originally it clicks when you load the gun, preparing to shoot. I’ve lost that click and there’s no resistance in the load. I can’t get the trigger out either
