The Installer payload failed signature check.

I’m trying to install Sierra on my mac and i’m having trouble with getting past the error “The Installer payload failed signature check.” I’ve reset the time, installed new ram, and wiped the drive. Any suggestions?

Try downloading another copy of Sierra and creating a bootable USB with that installer. Your current copy is either fraudulent or corrupted.

I work at a Phone/Computer repair store and we have "known good" usb drives. were going to try and install El Capitan And see where that leads us.

@danj Yes, we have inputted the correct date and time settings.

@acervasio Just making sure you are doing the bootable USB process correctly; You are downloading the ElCap/Sierra installer from the Mac App Store and you are then creating a bootable USB using "createinstallmedia"in Terminal. Correct?

Where did you get the installer? I strongly recommend you only get it from the Apps Store. Other sites that offer the file could have altered it.
