All movement sensors malfunctioning

Simply put, as the title says. Have attempted:

-Software reset(on phone)

-Starting phone without any of the screws on the LCD plate.

Most notable fault is the phone not rotating. Below are shots of the app I use to check sensor data. To the left phone are the correct values:

For the fun of it, I downloaded the app on my phone to compare results. My readings match those on the left (top).

There are several sensor IC’s inside the iPhone.

  • Compass IC
  • Barometer IC
  • Accelerometer & Gyroscope IC
  • Motion CPU

They are all powered by the same voltage rail so multiple failures may point to a voltage issue. The Gyro IC is also sensitive to water, whether it be water damage or ultrasonic cleaning. At this point, you may want to have the phone looked at for some board level diagnostics.

After two weeks, it would appear that local shop could not find a solution to the problem.

They may be starting to hate me for all these phones I send out to them with no solution.

You need to become an expert micro-solderer/board whisperer and outsource your services to them instead ;>).
