After headphone jack replacement, Microphone not working

Hi guys,

I replaced the headphone jack assembly on my iPhone 3GS yesterday night, so far that is working fine.

Microphone however is not working. I cannot be heard by people I talk to on the phone.

Any idea what part may be faulty now, and if possible, how to fix it?

Cheers!

Turns out the "ground plane" on the #4 ribbon was severed. (I think it was the ground plane, as connecting it back up fixed both the microphone and home button?). I dodgied it up with sticky tape and it is fixed.
