My 2007 Samsung TV model lnxx series smoking
TV does not power on now and no standby light. It's a 2007 27inch tv. Any suggestion? Frankly I'm poor and can't afford a new one.

Hi @edubinthehills ,
If it is smoking, DISCONNECT the power from the TV as it is a potential fire hazard.
There is obviously a problem, possibly with the power board although this may not be entirely correct.
Was any liquid spilled onto the TV by any chance?
With the power disconnected take the back cover off and look for signs of obvious heat damage to any components.
Take pictures and post back here and someone may be able to help.

If this is too daunting perhaps the problem will need to be checked by someone who has the appropriate skills and tools to determine what the fault is.
In that case I suggest that you contact a reputable, professional TV repair service and ask for a quote.

@edubinthehills Samsung LN-T2342H is actually a 23" TV. Follow the advice by @jayeff and let us see what we need to see. Post some pictures.....
