Ways to fix camera and sound after being dropped in toilet?

My 1 yr old dropped my ipod in the toilet. It was only in for about 3 seconds. I had it in rice, but have now been using it. That was a week ago. It's been fine, except the sound when i listen to stuff without headphones is really fuzzy, and i just noticed today that the camera won't work. I try taking a picture, but it won't let me. The bottom where it has the options of camera or video just flashes then exits me out. Is there anything i can do to fix the camera and sound?

i have the same problem.... except my camera has the shutter but it just stays closed... </3 im going to buy a new one :)

Sharlene, check this guide Electronics Water Damage and do some more trouble shooting after you got all that accomplished. Do a restore after you got it all cleaned and assessed.
