Hey, Edward. You need to check your actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge. You really don’t want to run your engine when your oil pressure is in doubt, and the only reliable way to know if you truly have proper pressure is to use a mechanical gauge. If you have low oil pressure, and you have plenty of oil, and no leaks, you likely have excessive wear on the internal parts of your engine, and it will need to be rebuilt or replaced. If you find that you do in fact have proper oil pressure, then the pressure switch, wires, or PCM could be at fault. The first thing you need to do is verify the actual pressures. If you’ll post which engine you have I’ll look for a guide to show you where to find your pressure sender. The only F-150 I’ve pressure tested had a Triton motor, and it was not easy to get to. Hopefully yours is easier.
