MacBook Air Fan making non stop sound since hours

Hi,

Since this morning, the fan of my MacBook Air bought last year keeps making non stop sound. Restarted it several times and even turn it off for a while but still making that disturbing sound. Any tips to overcome it?

Tkx for your help in advance.

If dusting it out doesn’t fix it then your fans bearings are having problems and you likely need a new fan. As its likely still under warranty I would suggest just not doing anything and bring it to an Apple Store or authorized service center to get it done for free.

I would recommend dusting out the inside with compressed air.

@owen_the_techie - I agree about dusting the system out, but I strongly disagree with using software to slow the fan. This is how people kill their system!

Ramping it up is one thing, slowing it is a completely different subject!
