Why is my battery dying within less than an hour?

I've had my pink 3DS for about six years and I have taken care of it we'll since then.I have never dropped it and water has never got into the device.suddenly though,as I'm playing a game the battery life gets drained. Especially when id use the 3D feature, within five to ten minutes it starts blinking red unless I close my device. Do I need to replace the battery? Because I'd really hate to replace the device; they don't make pink ds' anymore

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi!

Batteries tend to wear over time; as you keep charging and discharging them the chemical reaction that makes the batteries work store and provide energy gets weaker over time. There is no other way to stop this other than replacing the old battery for a new one.

To change the battery follow this guide until step 7: Nintendo 3DS Teardown (it’s very easy, you just need a small Phillips-head screwdriver like this one: https://amzn.to/2PkkYs3 )

You can find the replacement battery here: https://amzn.to/2E5Ynhz
