Does the back glass being broken cause the screen not to work?

My screen is fine but my back glass is shattered with large pieces of the back glass missing. Would the missing back glasses cause the screen not to work?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

A cracked back glass should not be an issue as long as the front glass is fine. Maybe a cable got disconnected when you assumably dropped your phone.

shawnaashlee1  no, it does not. To troubleshoot your phone, you will have to start talking it apart and to replace the back. Use these guides Samsung Galaxy S6 for that. Once disassembled check for torn ribbon cables, dislodged cables and broken parts on the circuit boards. If it is only the screen that is not working, (you have not mentioned if there is anything else that has failed), consider replacing the display assembly. Samsung Galaxy S6 Screen Replacement

shawnaashlee1 if everything else is still working as it should then yes, it could still be torn ribbon cables, dislodged cables, broken parts on the circuit boards as well as your display. You will not know until you check everything out first.
