Apple Part Number different. Is it still compatible.

Hi there.

I am pretty sure that my iMac G5 17" power supply is faulty (blown capacitors) and I am considering replacing the power supply. On the back of my power supply, the apple part number is 614-0329 but on your site it has 661-3290.

My question is this: Is your part number: Product code: IF165-002-1 compatible with my "iMac G5 17"

Emc: 1989

1.8

614-0329?

There are lots of iMac power supply numbers that will work on your machine. Some are listed as ALS (ambient light sensor) supplies. The ALS is a light that plugs into the logic board but attaches to the power supply. It can be detached and moved. So you don't have to worry if it does or doesn't list as an ALS power supply.

661-3290, 661-3351, 661-3627 any of these will work
