Hi @magicjet_ ,

Connect an external monitor to the micro HDMI port and check if there is a display showing on it.

Shine a torch at an angle close to the laptop’s screen and check if you can detect an image at all when the laptop is turned on. It will be very faint so try doing this in a darkened room as it may help to see if there is an image or not.

If there is a display showing on the external monitor and you can detect an image on the laptop’s screen then you have a backlight problem in the laptop. This could be caused by a faulty backlight power supply from the motherboard, a faulty backlight power cable (if separate from the video cable, otherwise it is part of the video cable), cable connection (at either end, motherboard or screen) or a faulty LCD screen.

If there is a display on the external monitor but none that you can detect with a torch on the laptop’s screen, then there is a problem with the video cable, video cable connection (at either end motherboard or screen) or a faulty LCD screen.

If there is no display on the external monitor and none that you can detect on the laptop’s screen then you have a motherboard problem.

Here’s a link to a video that shows how to replace the touchscreen (digitizer) in an Asus T100. It is useful as it shows how to open the laptop to gain access to the components. (couldn’t find one for a T100TA but it should be close enough to be of some help)
