Came home one day to find the message light on the handsets blinking, but there were no messages. Replaced the battery in the handset not too long ago (1-2 months), tried removing the battery and replacing, unplugged the phone (didn’t work, tried to reset from the handset - nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Hi,
When you say that you tried to reset it,did you use the following procedure?
With the phone in standby, open the menu and select Global Setup; select VMWI Reset, then select Yes.
If this doesn’t work, try de-registering the phone from the base station and then re-registering it again.
Here’s a link to the section in the User’s Guide that shows how to do this.

With the Uniden PowerMax 5.8GHz series, there is no VMWI reset option in the Global Setup utility. Instead, you press _and hold_ the base station 'flash/find hs' button until the beeping stops, about 5 seconds.
Followed your instructions, worked immediately thank you so much it was driving me crazy
First I cleared the voicemail from my handset
2nd step I called star 86 went thru my personal options message waiting indicator turned it on
Step 3
Administrative options envelope info turned something on in there
No more blinking light message indicator
