Replacement of cracked ipad screen

My ipad screen cracked like in the picture. Ipad display can be seen and the touch responses well.

I want to fix it myself and am planning to buy the screen. But there’s a lot of choices; cheap or expensive ones.

Can you give me an example of what kind of parts should I buy? I’m also confused on what to buy because I found out there’s a few variations of screens; lcd/digitizer/touchscreen/etc.

Sure you can do this yourself! You have to have a steady hand and be patient in your work otherwise you will create problems for yourself. I would recommend you read through this guide first to see if you are comfortable with the steps and tools required.

As for the parts, I can’t speak for the supplier you linked. However my one piece of advice here is don’t go for the lowest cost parts, ultimately, you always get what you pay for. Look for a reputable vendor that offers a real warranty and return policy. then if they have a premium or OEM version of the part, go for that if your budget permits.
