iPhone 6 wonts get past the apple logo

I got a iPhone 6 four months ago and it stoped working three days ago. When ever I press the sleep/wake button or the home button all it does it light up to the apple logo then turns right back off. About two months ago I accidentally chucked it into a bucket of 6inches of water. I powered it off and put it in rice for 72 hours before turning it back on. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it. When I leave it pluged charging it likes to have random panic attacks and flash to a bright white screen then turn off a second later. All of the comments I have seen have said to restore it and plug it into iTunes but my computer won’t even recognize that there is something plugged into it. I took it into the apple store today and they said there was nothing to do but the internet was invented so might as well ask around before tossing the peice of crap in the electronic recycling. Please Internet, you’re my only hope…

It’s almost sure that the cause of they issues you’re encountering is the water that found its way into the phone. The rice trick is just a urban legend, it temporarily removes moisture but it doesn’t dispose of liquid residues on components and over time it’s almost sure your device will eventually break. Liquid damage on small complex electronics needs to be taken care with proper tools by pros who can bath the phone with ultrasonic and chemicals after removing the soldered metal shields. Restore won’t probably have any effect on your iPhone. All you can try to do on your own is to replace battery and lightning connector and hope water didn’t touch phone’s logic board. If you feel like doing it yourself here are the relevant, guides..parts can be found on the iFixit store too.
