iPhone SE shows electricitysign in the right corner but doesn't charge

Iphone SE

I tried to change my lightning connector after I had some charging problems. After the replacement, the phone started but when I putted in a charging cable, it started charging till it had a battery percentage of 8%. Afterwards it still did show the electricity sign on the right corner of my screen but it didn’t go higher then 8%.

Sometimes my phone also dies after using it for like 3 minutes,

Anyone familiar with a problem like this or knows how to help?

You either have a dead battery or you may have accidentally damaged the logic board when you did the replacement. There are tiny components right above the battery connector. They can be easily dislodged when disconnecting the battery. One of them is on the line that communicates battery status to the CPU. If it gets damaged or dislodged, you will see symptoms like those described.

The other possibility is that a cheap charger (like dollar store chargers, or car chargers) damaged the charging circuit on the logic board. If a new battery doesn’t solve your problem, then it will need to be looked at by a micro-solderer.
