iPhone 8 Not Charging But Maked Sound

Hello. i have searced on the forum without the answers helping me. My problem is I have a iphone 8 with an unoriginal battery. I bought it from soemone as a repair phone. Now it connects to itunes and says its charging on itunes, however on the phpne it only makes the charging sound but no charging icon on the iphone.

so the iphone is stuck on 1%, I think its the battery. But the previous owner replaced the battery again without results.

what I have tried:

Electrical tape on the back of the battery connector

tried brushing the connection (no alcohol or so kust a toothbrush without anything)

tried hard reseting iphone and restoring it through dfu mode

I have also tried different chargers etc. Nothing wrong with my hargers.

i have 1 thing left to try and that is wireless charging if it works or not. If the wireless charging don’t work its the battery, RIGHT? Also ordered a new battery not apple ofc but oem standards and through a supplier I know with 100% quality guarantee. So my last things to try is wireless charging and new battery.

cuz the charging port works right? It does make sound and connects to itunes and powers on , just shuts down after a few minutes when using it, and then it can’t be the charging port?

please help :)

Update (09/26/2018)

EDIT:

Okay I tried wirelss charging. Gives me same result. Shows charging on lockscreen, but not the charging icon. The phone is stuck on 1% without charging. So since it connects to iTunes and wireless dont charge or charging with cable its the battery then? It cannot be anything else then I think.

There are many small components around the display/touch connector and some of them are on the line that communicates the battery charge state to the CPU. It’s quite possible that one or more components were damaged or dislodged during a previous repair attempt. Take a close look around the connector. If you find any damaged or missing components, then you will need a micro-soldering repair.

Yeah all looks fine tho. Check many tines and also used a brush to remove any dirt if so. All looks good… must be the battery or tje IC chip… hope battery tho. Many others think its the battery. Cause it is unoriginal and not good quality it seemed like. It was a little swallen too. And I dint hear a left and right click, only on one side. Think its the battery, but unsure still. Get a new battery and will let you know!

Yeah so I have repaired iPhone’s for quite some time and my problem was as I thought. It was some circut in my logic board or the charging chip on the motherboard not giving or taking the power.

to be sure if it is the logic board just try normal cable charge: if it charges and makes sound but doesn’t show charging icon in the right corner on your homescreen, then try wireless charging. Same result? Then it is either the charging chip on the motherboard or a circut problem which will need resoldiering (I recommend a repair shop!).

if it does charge wirelessly but not through cable, try a new cable and power box. If not: well it’s either the battery or charging port ;)!

So did yours turn out to be the battery or a faulty board
