Partition with 10.4.11 will not boot

I have a Power Book G4 12" 1.33hGz 320gig 1.2g ram w/2 partitions. Partitions 1 w/ [os 10.5.8] & partitions 2 w/ [os 10.4.11]. Boots just fine from partitions 1 but will not boot from partitions 2 w/OS 10.4.11. It just spins w/grey screen and grey apple.

I have reset PRAM.

I have reset PMU.

Any suggestions for what to do next?

Can you select the the 10.4 from system preferences? Have you EVER been able to boot from this second partition?

by

Yes I have been booting up to both partitions for some time by using startup disc in preferences or the option key during start up.

Thanks did that, no change. So i reinstalled the system & it's working now. Any suggested maintenance so this might not happen again?

Stay off the internet or get Norton Anti-Virus. Use Time Machine on the 10.5 to back up both drives onto an external.
