Replacing the joystick circuit board in my Xbox One S controller
I've been trying to replace the left joystick on my Xbox One S controller and failing miserably at removing the broken one with the soldering iron. So instead I want to attempt at just replacing the circuit board itself, but before I do I have a few questions.
- I'm going to use a circuit board from one of the older controller models for the first gen Xbox One, the one without a 3.5mm headphone jack. Will it be compatible with the Xbox One S controller I'm repairing?
- If it works, will the 3.5mm headphone jack still work even though the circuit board is from an older controller model?
Is this a good question?
