This is most likely an issue with the rear camera itself as it contains an image stabilization system and it can fail. You will need to try a new camera to see if that solves the issue or not but unfortunately, it is a very expensive replacement part.

I had the same problem with my iPhone 6s Plus camera.I read that someone said to place a magnet near the bottom of the rear camera lens so I tried it and it worked.

I saw on the internet a guy told me to get a refrigerator magnet and place it near the rear camera and it worked.I had to crack the magnet and take a small piece and glue it next to the lens on the bottom (if you use a phone case make sure the magnet is small enough but doesn’t cover the camera.)

I went to Home Depot and pulled a dime sized neodymium magnet pack off the shelf and rubbed the magnets in small circles on my phone screen right where the camera is located underneath. After doing that for a few seconds I went back in the camera app and tested to see if the shaking stopped, and it did! I put the magnet pack back on the shelf and went home with a smile!

There is a magnet in your camera housing that’s became demagnetized somehow… get a powerful enough magnet like the neodymium one I found at Home Depot and remagnetize your camera. It worked like a charm and my camera is perfect again. It was fixed instantly, and didn’t cost a dime! :)
