iPhone wont turn work with screen connected

I recently replaced my iphone 3g screen with an entire LCD and digitizer assembly off ebay.

The phone will work fine with the screen un connected, it will load on itunes, vibrates, makes sounds ect. But as soon as i connect the screen, it stops working?

Any ideas? i have tried reset, hard reset, disconnecting the battery and reffiting. nothing works? could it just be a faulty screen shorting something?

check the part is correct for the phone. when you say it stops working the screen is black? if you plug in to itunes with screen on it stays black? there is no response from itunes with the screen on ? with screen on does vibrate work?

if it is a yes to the last few questions then it may be the LCD is faulty.. return it to the seller. let us know...

Disassemble the iphone and took out the logic board for approx 20 mins outside and again put inside the base without screen assembly and turn it on or put it on a charging over pc. let check

completely disabled? or just no display? as in with screen on does itunes recognise phone?

by

yeh, with the screen connected its completely disabled. doesnt register on itunes, or vibrate, or makes noise.

i connected the old display and it didnt do this, but that display is broken :(

by

then you should return the display as a faulty unit. PITA but faulty is faulty!

by

thought that may be the case, as you say its a PITA!
