install driver into terminal

once i type in the sudo file it asks for pasword

wont accept. it is the right pasword (i just dont know what to do)

also on the tewrminal when i open it it says bash-3,2$

is that suposed to be there please and thanku

i am trying to install drivers for a ethernet to usb adapter

system/library/extensions/terminal is where u type in the command

it alredy has bash-3.2$ written there.Is it suposed to be there .And it wont except my password.

The bash-3,2$ is the code for the Bourne shell the Apple started using with Leopard 5.5. If it won't take the password you may have to boot with the system disk and reset the password. Ralph
