Trackpad does not register my clicks?
My 4,1 MacBook's trackpad is not registrating my clicks. I can move the mouse but I cannot click. I have enbabled tap to click but it seems to be "disabled" when the trackpad button stops registrating clicks. This problem has persisted for a while and I was able to solve it by tapping on the trackpad button until it works again but today this solution is not working for me.
This might be a software and hardware problem but I have no idea what to do now.
- I have reset the PRAM
- I removed the battery to check if it is pushing the trackpad button In some way
- I held the power button for 10 secs with battery removed
I have do e everything I could think of short of going to the apple repair centre. I read somewhere they replace the top cover for White MacBooks for free because it is prone to defects/chippin
Is this a good question?
