Should I replace my whole screen for this incident?

Hi there.

I dropped my Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 the other day. At first, it seemed like it was no big deal, just one small crack. When I turned the phone on, I realised it was more serious, as there were green vertical and mainly horizontal lines going across the screen. Also, the touchscreen was only working on the uppermost quarter of the screen. and I couldn’t see the screen clearly in the middle, and at the bottom quarter, it was completely black. However, this was only my first problem. Slowly, a purple liquid was visible across some parts of the screen, making it hard for me to see the screen clearly. This purple liquid spread across the entire screen and also became darker. Now, it has been a bit more than 24 hours since I first dropped my phone and it is nearly fully covered in this liquid. After doing some research, I found out this liquid was from the actual phone and it isn’t touchable, meaning it is internal, I think. I just wanted to know if I have to replace my entire screen, or if it is something else? I would greatly appreciate some helpful feedback.

Thank you.

I think, You have to replace your LCD display & digitizer.

The liquid was LCD Crystals. When you will damage any LCD display, you will see same crystals, as you seen on your smartphone.

Thanks, that is really helpful. Do you know about how much it would be to replace both of them?

It could be about 30USD, but if you put your phone to samsung service, it will be about 60USD and more.
