I suspect that connecting the external speakers caused some damage to the Lightning Port or logic board. If the IC (Tristar) that is responsible for communicating with external peripherals is damaged, then the phone won’t boot properly.

You could try to replace the Lightning port yourself to see if that solves the problem but realistically, this is probably Tristar related and this requires a micro-soldering repair and is not DIY.
