Touch ID home button

I’ve an iPhone 6s with faulty motherboard but good screen and I also have one with a cracked screen. I want to replace the cracked screen with the one with faulty motherboard screen. It will be a full screen drag and drop. Will my Touch ID work without switching the home button of both phones

Touch ID will work fine if the replacement screen’s home button extension cable is not faulty. This is a cable that runs through the screen from top to bottom.

Make sure that you use only the home button that comes with the motherboard or else touchID won’t work.
