keys on keyboard are wrong language

keys is in french and i need a english keys

what can i do about the keys themselves, the symbols for punctuation are different than in english, do i have to change out entire keyboard, how?

Go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to System Preferences > top line Personal > Language & Text and change it to English

This sounds like you have the wrong top case. You appear to have the

F661-5590 and need the plain

661-5590. Buy this one and sell yours on eBay or see if iFixit will do an exchange: MacBook Unibody (A1342) Upper Case

You should be able to pop the keys out and reinsert them in the correct fashion - I'm assuming you've got AWERTY and need QWERTY, yes?

If you need punctuation keys that are in English layout, try eBay for spares/repair MacBooks, or there should be a seller peddling keys for an extortionate price somewhere.

If you don't feel up to popping your keys out and changing them round, you can get stickers or key covers for Logic, FCP, Avid and Photoshop that'll do the trick and add a bit of colour :)
