Wifi greyed out - chip or antenna?

Hi, my wifi icon is greyed out and the bluetooth is running.

I went to the Apple Shop but they can’t say if it is the logic board chip (WIFI) or the antenna.

I’d like to fix this in a repair shop but should I ask to repair the antenna or the Wifi chip on the logic board?

Thanks for the answer. Can you explain why is shall probably be the chip instead of de antenna? What are the exact problems when your antenna is not working? Thanks!

I agree with @tech_ni , probably it's the chip or something closely related. Antenna failures don't cause greying out of the wifi option, but just signal weakness. When wifi can't be selected it's because system can't find the hardware at all, irrespective of signal strenght.
