Audiovox CDM-8910 Flip Phone

I am trying to find out what type of connector is on the bottom of the phone next to the charging connector. This was my wife’s old phone and she has some pix of her late mother on it and I would like to try to download them to my PC. When we upgraded to a new phone the employees at the phone store said they could not get the phone to download/transfer anything to the new phone. My confidence in their abilities was not great. Does anyone know where I might buy a cable to interface this connector to the USB port on my PC to try to download the pix? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m assuming this phone does not have a SIM card I could just put in another phone (that would be too easy!).

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi,

Here’s an image taken from the user manual for your phone.

It shows how to connect your phone to a PC to allow you to transfer data.

As stated, ensure that the cable is a data cable by testing it on another device.

If the connector is not the usual micro USB connector that is found on most phones, post a close up picture of the phone’s connector so that it can be identified and we’ll help you further. (There’s no mention or image of it in the User guide)

Here’s how to do this. Adding images to an existing question

if you have a home pc or laptop you can use the same type of cable that you charge the phone with if it is the kind that has a usb end on it but not all usb cables transfer data they only charge the phone so you have to make sure it is a charger and data cable and plug it in to your pc and open computer and you will see the phone there and the pictures will be in a dcmi file most off the time or just in pictures from there open the file and transfer them in to your picture folder on the pc good luck
