Why is "line in use" message keep flashing when there's no-one using
I have checked both phones, unplugged them, checked the batteries and still the base
phone has the flashing light and I cannot make a call out.
Is this a good question?

Hi,
What happens if you try to call the phone from another phone such as a mobile phone?
Do you get a busy signal or a ringtone signal?
If a ringtone signal does the phone ring?
If not or if you get a bust signal when you call the phone number contact your phone service provider and get them to test the line as you may have a line fault.
