iPhone 8 was stuck at 1% now won’t come on.

So I got a phone with a report from one of my techs. The report said after a battery change the phone was stuck at one percent, thinking it was a defective battery she changed it again and now the device will not power on. Screen tests fine, batteries tests fine, charging port tests fine. I trust the tech to be honest and I did find an answer for the “Stuck at 1%” issue. I looked at the component the post directed me to and it was pulled from the board but I also noticed another chip that was broken. A silver like chip just to the left of the RV3C002UN chip by the battery connector port. I can’t find what component this is without a schematic and I cannot find the schematic. Could anyone help me find the name/number of the silver component?

In general, a shiny glass component is usually a diode or a MOSFET. Check the screen capture of the iPhone 8 Plus schematic below. There is very little difference between regular and plus models on the basic circuitry.

So i believe it is a TVS but I dont want to post the number/name of the component until I am %100 sure that’s the component that was damaged. Customer is becoming anxious, not sure if I will still have the phone by the time the part comes in. Very fine time limit I am working with lol

Thank you so much for the information and schematic but I do not want to mislead anyone. Will have to update you when it is confirmed. I do apologize.

Were you ever able to identify the name of that shiny glass component?
