Unless you have the correct machinery it is unlikely that you will be able to safely remove damaged glass and replace it, the best course of action would be to replace the LCD assembly which can be found on the below link.

I have some equipment. I have tried with a heating plate and a thin wire and also with dry ice and guitar picks. I have successfully done it with the Galaxy S6 but the S9 has completely beaten me over and over.

I have a followup: What is the correct equipment to remove the glass from front and back of the Samsung Galaxys?

I have now realized that in order to separate the Galaxy S9 glass from its screen, you need to cool it way more than dry ice (what I was trying). You will need temperatures closer to liquid nitrogen.

Videos online that show this, show temperatures of -190 C. you can get one of those freezers online.

The glass on the back is much easier, with some heat, even from a heat gun, you can get the glue to loosen enough that you can remove the back. You can see this in the teardowns that iFixit has done on the phones. It's pretty much the first step.
