Is it needed to replace the whole wiring unit? The possible culprit is may be screw in the door, which happens to touch the wiring of the speaker. How to deal with this???.

If you can remove the speaker or door panel I would think it is just the connection to the speaker. However it could be catching in the section of the door that meets the frame of the car, there is usually a foam pipe that runs into the door, you can see it when the door is open. Try squeezing it with the stereo on and see if it creates the same issue.

Sounds like there is a short in the door speaker or near by speaker when the door is open the pulse is knocking the system out. You may have to trace the wire from the system to the speaker or just rewire it.
