Lars,

Try taking a flashlight and pointing it towards the bottom of the dock connector. Underneath you should see a small hole with either a white or a red little swatch. If you don't see anything right away try carefully removing any debris or holding the phone at an angle. Next check the inside of the headphone jack on the top of the phone opposite the sleep/wake button. Again, you're looking for a white or red swatch of what looks like glossy paper on the very bottom of the phone. If you see red, your phone may have come in contact with some liquid and you may need to replace some parts. In my experience, this is most common indicator of the symptom you're describing.

Best,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the answer I couldn’t see the swatch but I open the phone and look inside and I think it´s looks good. If it has been contact with some liquid I think it should look worse than this like corrosion and so on. Do you have any idea which parts that could give this behavior?

Regards Lasse

i think the 'SWATCH" is actually inside the iphone on the motherboard. it is a small white circle with a black surround that changes colour with moisture to a salmon pink colour. there are 2.. one near connector 5/6 (headphone jack) and the other near the 'don't remove sticker' . people often talk about the locations and believe that if you look inside the jack or the dock you will magically see a pink dot..never found one yet!

I think this is a software or battery issue.. I had this with a 3g on that jb..reversed the jb but problem still persisted, If this is the original from new battery then there is a chance that it is on it's way out. I'd try changing the battery to see if this helps. There is someone else asking this very question at the moment..why don't you keep an eye on their answers/feedback to see what happens?

iPhone always reboots after 3 min of use, NO IMEI, NO BLUETOOTH [...]
