iMac OS-X Leopard error on installing

OS-X Leopard, trying to install with Bootable USB stuck with circle, Already another higher version is installed on other drive. Please suggest a solution for the issue.

You have started up in Target Mode as the Firewire icon indicates. This is fine if you are connected to another Mac via Firewire. If you are booted from a USB drive this will not work. Start up holding down the Option key and select your USB drive, then install your system.
